Honey Bee & Baby Blue-eyes
Honey Bee (Apis mellifera) & Baby Blue-eyes (Nemophila menziesii)

This little worker bee, with her pollen-loaded saddlebags, is aptly named. Bees are the most important of the flower
pollinators. The largest managed pollination in the world takes place in California each February and March when
over one-third of the managed bees in the entire US are brought to the almond orchards of the Central Valley.
